ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

The Manitoba Habitat Conservancy (MHC) is a registered charitable organization based in Manitoba, Canada. Established in 1986, MHC was formed to work in partnership with Manitoba landowners to maintain and enhance fish and wildlife habitat.
The Corporation is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors and has over thirty full time employees, in seven locations throughout southern Manitoba.

OUR MISSION

The mission of The Manitoba Habitat Conservancy is to be a pre-eminent leader in delivering diverse habitat conservation programs through partnerships with the community and other governments.

OUR HISTORY

From the beginning, MHC focused its work on private lands in Manitoba and was structured to generate innovative solutions to conservation challenges that benefit both the landowner and wildlife. For 30 years, MHC has continued to expand its role as a facilitator of conservation partnerships and delivery agency for voluntary, farm-friendly conservation initiatives that promote ecosystem health and biodiversity.
